
Creative Bath, a division of Danbury Plumbing Supply, opened a spectacular new showroom in Brookfield, Connecticut. Faced with increasing competition from other showroom distributors, plus Home Depot and a new Lowe's opening around the corner, TJ Hunt, Danbury Supply's owner, decided to open a new location in Brookfield's very busy retail corridor.
To manage this off-site location Danbury Supply teamed up with DDI System to design a paperless workflow between the two locations. Key to this workflow was DDI's Signature Capture and credit card processing technology.
All sales and payments are filed as paperless transactions, eliminating proof-of-delivery and payment filing. Special order requests, more than half of the showroom's sales, flow through the system from sales person, to buyer, to stock receiving with no paper. Finally, special-order staging labels are printed to hold material until the entire order can be delivered. Showroom staff gets real-time updates with automated email messages and order status screens, completing this efficient workflow.
